About Me

My photo
I love spending a lot of time with myself and to me, the best places to hang around with friends are coffee-shops. yes, am addicted to chai and coffee. Four things I can't do without- Dreams, Hopes, a sound sleep nd positivity around ! :)offcourse, they can't replace family and friends :) Despite all the good the world seems to offer, true happiness can only be found in one thing - Shopping!

Bubblegums and Candies ! :)

Just finished reading ’34 Bubblegums and Candies’ by Preeti Shenoy: )

Honestly, not worth wasting your precious 1 hour on the book. It’s a collection of 34 real life incidents. It seems to be a bad effort to copy my favourite ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’. The book doesn’t deliver what it promises. It says – It is one book that will tempt you, making you want to taste it, chew it, relish it.

The only think I like is the title ‘Bubblegums and Candies’. That’s how each day is – like a bubblegum which is tasteless when chewed for long and the bubble explodes leaving you with a sticky mess or like a candy : )

Now, I'll start with some other book : )

Pamper Yourself !

I went out for coffee and desserts with Amrita, as usual after classes got over for today. We had our favourite Chocolate Mousse at Top Breads which was enough to make our day : ) There’s no thing on earth which can replace my love for chocolates or may be there is something, I haven’t discovered yet.

The most interesting part of the day was our shopping : ) we bought some books for ourselves with interesting titles : ) though we knew that we had to work on our dissertation but what makes you happy is worth doing : ) You should never think twice when it comes to pampering yourself.

The (in)eligible bachelors

Life is what you make it

I’m not Twenty Four… I’ve been nineteen for five years

She broke up, I didn’t…

 True Lies and Hump

The one incident that needs a mention here is a stranger who made my day. I was walking back home – half dead ! A special child smiled and waived at me. Some how I still remember the incident after a month and I doubt, I will ever forget that face. That smile was the cutest and the most genuine one I ever saw : ) Little things make us happy.

Pamper Yourself and Do anything to make yourself happy ! : )

Smile : )

Smile – a very simple thing yet very powerful.  Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day : )

You must have noticed that we really don’t appreciate those who don’t smile back at us. An answer to a smile should always be a smile. It’s inexpensive, doesn’t take much of your time and energy but to add to it, makes you look beautiful and the other person also feels better : ) Still I don’t understand why some people don’t smile back.

A smile leads to happiness just as happiness leads to a smile. A smile can do wonders. Its comforts the other person and assures him/her that you’re approachable. It makes you look happy, confident and self-assured. No, I am not saying that there should be a smile on your face 24*7. There’re situations in life when smiling is not appropriate and we very well know when to smile and when not.

It is very easy for people to differentiate between a genuine and a fake smile. A genuine smile is effortless : ) For a fake one, you do have to make efforts in stretching your muscles. But trust me, smile and see : ) it isn’t a very tiring exercise.

I read it somewhere – when a photograph where smiling for 5 seconds can make you look good, imagine how beautiful you would look if you make it a habit : )

Use smiles to bring yourself and those around you more joy, happiness and success.
Have a happy weekend! : ) Keep Smiling! : )

what next after Diwali? Christmas? No, it's exam time ;)

Hope all of you had an amazing diwali : )

We didn’t celebrate diwali but we made rangoli and did puja. I made rangoli using coloured saw dust, stones and diyas : ) Little things like this make me happy.

Time really runs when we’re with the loved ones. Its already time to get back to college, finish assignments and sit for end semester exams. Not a very great feeling. Exams should never be right after the festive season. Do I have an option? Absolutely not. By the way, Is it just me or most of you feel sleepy during exam days?

Those who’re suffering from diwali ke side-effects which over-eating causes : ) Get well soon and by the time, I will prepare myself for exams ke side-effects : )

All you people have to do is pray for me that whatever I skip doesn't come in exams : )

All the Best to all those who have exams knocking on the door : ) To be on the top, you don't have to be a bookworm. Just study smart : ) My Best Wishes are with you !

Let's spread happiness this Diwali !

More festivals than the number of months : ) It happens only in India. Everyday is a celebration for Indians : ) Such wonderful people we are : ) Just 8 days to go for diwali : ) I have always loved diwali and the weather around October-November. Makes me feel very happy. Can’t wait to finish classes, pack my bags and go home : ) I love lighting diyas and candles. Absolutely love the way everything is brightened on diwali : ) the neighbourhood, infact the whole city sparkles. Not very fond of sweets but yeah, who can resist chocolate mousse and anything that has lots of melted chocolate over it. There’s so much you can do on diwali – sabse important is spread happiness. You can make rangoli, decorate the pooja thaali and what not. I love floating candles. Get creative this Diwali! Yeah, there’s one thing I want to do this diwali – put mehendi : ) Festivals are the best times to let your loved ones know how much you love them, not just by words but by gifts too – iss diwali aap kisse khush karenge : ) make your family know you love them. Cleanliness is Godliness. Clean you room and see what books and stationary you don’t need and donate them to those kids who can’t afford it but love studying : ) you don’t play with your toys anymore, give them to those don’t have a luxurious childhood as you have had :)

This is something very touching I came across. Do read it !

Rishton mein hai ghulli mithaas
Phuljhadiyaan hain dil mein aaj
Khushbhu khushiyan ki aur chali hai
Zidd karke bas peeche padi hai
Pata tumhari pooch rahi hain
Iss diwali khushiyan tumko dhoond rahi hain : )

Have a happy and a safe diwali everyone : ) May this Diwali be the best ever.

One last thing – you haven’t had a good day : ) make someone smile, you’ll feel better and then do it everyday : )

Make your life Rich : )

Life – even though it’s complicated, you will find your way sooner or later. Be it easy or tough, don’t just let it flow from your hands – add meaning to it so that whenever you look back, you can smile and be proud :-) Life is complicated and confusing so that you can grow stronger and all hurdles in life teach you to move forward – simply, jump over them :-) you might not always get what you expect but that doesn’t mean you should stop expecting rather raise your expectations even higher. Give life a tough competition. More it troubles you, more you should try show it that you aren’t scared, come what may. This is your life and you have every right to experience its beauty and madness. No matter what the situation is, live life as if this is what exactly you wanted it to be and of course make efforts to make it even better :-)

I often ask myself - What is Life? Why are there problems? To which I get no answer and I tell myself that God is there to take care of everything and above all, me. He won’t do anything to hurt me. I feel happy and start dancing : ) it’s hard to be sad for a long time for someone like me.
Life - Something I cannot define but am living each day of it. Our life is so full of questions and to some, we might not ever get answers even if we struggle to find them. We feel helpless. We work hard and don’t get rewarded – is that Life? We care for people and we don’t get appreciated – Is that what you call Life? We expect from people and they like always never surprise us even once by fulfilling our expectations. We ignore at times as to what makes us happy and let it go to make our best friend happy and what do we get – a realisation that she falls in the category of just a friend and not Best Friend but then even we fail to keep people happy and we shouldn't forget that we are all human and we all would react in a different way given the same situation.

You absolutely deserve every joy you imagine :- ) don’t let anyone tell you what you deserve and what you don’t. Who are they to decide it for you? Stop settling for things that are easily accessible to you, dream what you want, not what you can get : ) Miracles do happen and you never know when is God listening to you : ) always ask for nice things : ) Give yourself the respect you deserve before demanding it from others around you and do whatever makes you happy : )

Remind yourself how beautiful you’re both inside and outside. Make your life rich. Don’t wait for too long, today is the day to make your dreams turn into reality. Every day is an opportunity. Even if someone tells you that your dreams are impossible and sound unreasonable. Tell them you deserve a beautiful life. Does that sound reasonable? You have already waited for long enough for your most treasured dreams to come true. Now is the right time to make them happen as you have all the powers to do anything and everything to your life : ) garnish it with beautiful dreams : )
Have a happy weekend all of you ! : ) I too hope to have a happy week ahead as am going for a Military Training Camp : ) too excited to try paragliding and some more adventurous stuff : )

Lots of love ! :*
